Explorers are encouraged to join Eco Action this school year! Sign-ups are live and need to happen before the first meeting (September 29). All meetings (after the first) happen on the second Tuesday of the month, dates listed below.

During Eco Action meetings, guest speakers are brought in to give age-appropriate presentations and host hands-on activities from their field that relates to making greener choices, learning about aspects of our environment, and more. Past speakers have been from Eco Action Arlington to demonstrate watersheds, Arlington County’s Urban Agriculture Manager to talk about where our food comes from and how Arlington’s Farmer’s markets work, Arlington’s bike safety personnel to teach about and plan safe routes to bike, Discovery family members to discuss watersheds and how we can make smart choices to protect our waterways, and so many more!
