As Discovery’s Montessori Instructional Assistant, my role is to inspire our future generation to connect to knowledge, skills and provide safe classroom environment. Age 3-5 is the time when kids are exploring, experimenting and trying to figure out how things work. I believe that kids are little scientists. They love to explore different things and have a lot of questions. My job as a mentor is to answer their questions and help them explore more and provide knowledge so they can learn from it and become successful.
I graduated in 2016 from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology. I started my first job as a Sales Associate in 2011. In 2014, I was given an opportunity to work with the Management team. In 2016, I got promoted and served as a Manager in retail for a year. I left Management to fulfill my dream to work with kids. I always wanted to work in a school environment where I can help the future generation gain the knowledge and make a positive impact on their lives. I am excited to be the part of the Discovery Explorer and looking forward to make a difference.
I love reading Research Studies Articles on age differences and human nature during my free time. I believe that they are very useful in real life setting. The results of these studies help us to understand the difference of behavior in certain age groups such as adolescents, toddlers and adults. Since I am a foreigner and have a complete different cultural background, I also love spending my time learning about different cultures and try their food. On weekends, I love going out with my friends and watch a movie. I am a huge fan of “comedy movies” and love to watch them when I am free.
