Eco-Action accepted the Green Action Award presented by the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability for a transportation initiative in which students complied daily transportation data related to students walking, biking, busing, and carpooling to school.
Eco-Action also received recognition from the President’s Environmental Youth Award Program for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Mid-Atlantic Region for its eco-friendly practices in the Dining Commons.
Eco-Action strives to achieve the Green Flag Award sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation.
