English Learners Team

Arlington Public Schools uses a collaborative, inclusive model of instruction for elementary English learners in the English Learners program. They receive their English Learner services by a certified English Learner teacher in a variety of ways. There are four possible models of instructional delivery (co-teach, push-in, pull-out, and consult/monitor). In each of the models, students are learning the grade level content (language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, etc.) and are also acquiring the social and academic English proficiency they need to have success in school.
